Hayden Valley is just south of Canyon, on the road to Fishing Bridge. 
Somewhere along there, in a still spot these lilies grow. Look closely on this picture to see the Water Skeeter floating along. The Valley is a great place to watch elk, bison, wolf, geese, and bear, and usually there is a group of Wolf Watchers set up for the day with telescopes and chairs and coolers.
Here are more of the lilies. There was a huge pond covered with them, mostly still water. It was also a pull over area from the road, so a common tourist stop and photo opportunity.
